Yesterday, as I walked along the Sea Point prominade, I thought I saw Nessie slithering in a pool of water! Luckily I had my trusty picture catcher with me - so I fired away and captured this image.
I have sent it off to Drumnadrochit (in Scotland) and will wait for their authenticity report.
Meanwhile it is back to the beach and "Operation Deepscan"
I am a writer/photographer in Cape Town. I have travelled extensively through Europe and dashes of Africa where my love for photography and writing first stirred. In 2005 I traversed the African continent as journalist for the Tour d’Afrique biycle expedition from Cairo to Cape Town. I wrote the tour’s daily online diary, managed media along the route, and wrote magazine articles.
In 2007 I kicked of my trainers and strapped on stilettos to document SA fashion guru Gavin Rajah’s Spring/Summer haute couture collection in Paris. I wrote a string of online articles, published photos, and wrote a piece for Pursuit magazine. In 2007&2008 I reviewed Restaurants for the V&A Waterfront Restaurant Guide and Awards as published by Lannice Snyman Publishers. I have been published in Property mag, Pursuit, The Event, Comic Life, Odyssey, Ride, Sunday independent, About Town, Die Burger, Big Issue, The Event and others. My photography portfolio includes product photography, landscapes, portraits and events.
I am writing a children’s novel and when not traveling I hatch together exotic pictures frames . Contact me:astridstark1@gmail.com
